Samuel Charles Longnecker, 67 yrs of Petersburg, Mi, died Wednesday April 30, 2025, in his home. Friends may call at the Capaul Funeral Home, Ida, MI, Monday May 5, 2025, from 4-8PM. He will lie-in-state at the Capaul funeral Home, Ida, MI, Tuesday May 6, 2025, from 10AM until the services at 11AM. Pastor Aaron Werner of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Ida, MI, will officiate. The burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Petersburg, MI.
Born April 18, 1958, in Toledo, Ohio. Samuel was the son of William and Olivia (Ibasfalean) Longnecker. He was a 1976 Summerfield High School Graduate. He was a lifelong carpenter and worked for Longnecker Nursery. He loved to hunt and build and fix things.
Survivors include siblings, William (Karen) Longnecker, Frances "Pat" (Diane) Longnecker, Olivia (Terry) Cox and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
