Samuel McGriff Sr. Obituary
Samuel McGriff, Sr. 72, of Kansas City, Kansas passes away suddenly on Tuesday, July 18, 2023. He was born November 18, 1950, in Kansas City, Missouri.
Sam was a letter carrier for more than 20 years. He had a quick wit and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his children Samuel (Kristi) McGriff Jr., Michael (Valerie) McGriff, George (Jeanette) McGriff, Leticia (Adam Miranda) McGriff, Samuel Michael McGriff, and John McGriff. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, siblings George McGriff Jr. Venita McGriff Finch, Priscilla McGriff Winters and John DeSuza and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
In addition to his parents (Gene and Elizabeth DeSuza), Sam is preceded in death by his wife Rose.
There will be a private family service
A Celebration of Life for extended family and friends will be:
August 24, 2023 from 1:00-3:00 PM
