Samuel "Bubba" Mitchum, 45, of Huger, South Carolina, died in North Carolina on Thursday, May 29, 2014. The relatives and friends of Bubba Mitchum are invited to attend his Funeral Service on Sunday, June 1, 2014 in Hopewell Baptist Church, Steed Creek Road off Highway 41, Huger, SC at 3:00 pm. Burial will follow in the churchyard. The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 31, 2014 in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL from 6:00 until 8:00 pm. "Bubba" was born on January 19, 1969 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of Joyce Marie Crosby Mitchum and the late James Mitchum. He worked as an underground cable lineman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was also a member of Hopewell Baptist Church. He is survived by his mother, Joyce Mitchum of Huger, SC; a sister, Cheryl Davis and her husband, Neil, of Huger, SC; two nieces and 3 nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Eddie Mitchum. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 5900 Core Road, Suite 504, North Charleston, SC 29406 or the American Heart Association of SC, 4217 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, VA 23060.

Miss the phone calls we had...We didn't have enough wish we had talked a lot more. Wished I got a chance to get to know him better Miss him!! Joyce my heart will be with you tomorrow if you need me call me love you very much!!!!
