Samuel “Sammy” Morris Pearce, age 65, of Grover, North Carolina, formally of St. Pauls departed this life on December 22, 2025, at his home.
Sammy was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Pearce.
He is survived by his father, William Franklin Pearce, Sr.; his brother, William “Billy” Pearce, Jr. (Lorie); his sister, Deborah Pearce Ratley (Daniel); and four nieces, Amanda Pearce Edwards, Heather Pearce, Melissa Ratley, and Ashley Ratley Fluitt. He is also survived by his great-nephews, Will Edwards, Roland Edwards, Jaxson Lee and Ethan Fluitt; his great-nieces, Elizabeth Edwards and Elsie Fluitt; along with other relatives and friends who will cherish his memory.
Sammy was known for his strong work ethic, unwavering dedication to his family, and his big, warm smile that could brighten any room. He took pride in hard work, in providing for others, and in standing faithfully by those he loved. His life reflected perseverance, responsibility, and a deep commitment to family that will continue to be remembered.
