Samuel Robinson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Hershberger-Stover Inc. Funeral Home on Feb. 7, 2026.
Samuel H. Robinson, age 91, of McCandless Township passed away Thursday February 5, 2026.
He was the son of the late Samuel and Martha Robinson and was born in Ellwood City, PA. He was happily married to Linda Robinson for the last 40 years. He was also a loving father to Linda (John) Maddonni, Cathy (James) Loos and Samuel E. Robinson, as well as a stepfather to Robert Mazza and Jason Mazza. He had 6 grandchildren whom he loved dearly: Jaminique (Nathan) Milliren, the late Alexzandra Loos, Colton Loos, Shelby (Sean) MacIlvain, John Maddonni Jr. and Adora Maddonni. His great-grandchildren, Owen Milliren, Hadlee Milliren and Kellin MacIlvain were the highlight of his life in his later years.
Sam was a hard-working man who started his career out by painting houses. He was able to raise enough money to put himself through school, and graduate as a CPA, an accomplishment he was very proud of. He started his CPA career out at Bielau, Tierney, Coon and Co., where he later became a partner. He continued his accounting career at CFS Continental where he moved up within the company. Following his career at CFS he moved onto Tristate Consolidators, and later to Glaucoma Cataract Consolidators Inc. He worked independently for the last few years of his career before retiring in 2022. He worked as CPA for over 50 years.
In addition to his family and work, Sam enjoyed many hobbies. He especially enjoyed creating stained glass and golfing. He enjoyed traveling and got to see many different places in his lifetime. He was an avid Steelers fan and cherished his trips to the Superbowl. He was an instrumental part in creating the From Alex with Love Foundation, a foundation created in memory of his late granddaughter Alexzandra. He supported the Run for Alex and volunteered his time to ensure its success. Other than his family the thing he cared for most was his dogs: Josie and the late Jodi, Casey, Erin and Matty.
Samuel will be deeply missed. Friends and family will be received at Hershberger-Stover Inc. Funeral Home ,170 Noble Ave, Crafton, PA on Tuesday February 10th from 3 pm to 7 pm. A Blessing Service, at the funeral home, will be the following day on Wednesday at 10 am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Animal Friends,562 Camp Horne Rd, Pittsburgh PA 15237.

Earlier today

Uncle Sam you were such an amazing and great human being. While we did not see each other we did keep up through Christmas cards and social media. You were always special to my life and I am so proud to call you my uncle. My condolences to Linda and the kids. May God be with you all today of your life. Rest in peace Uncle Sam; you will always be a part of my life.
