Mr. Samuel “Sam” Harwell Dillard IV, 76, passed away on November 12, 2024, at his home. He was born on November 15, 1947, to the late Samuel Dillard III and Marion Foley Dillard in Atlanta, GA.
Sam served in the US Coast Guard for six years. During those six years he completed two tours in Vietnam and worked as a Presidential Security Detail officer for President Nixon. He worked for Mock Tire and Automotive for over 20 years before his retirement. In his spare time Sam loved to go out boating. He then moved on from boating and got a Harley Davidson Motorcycle. Sam loved camping with his wife Anna.
Along with his parents, Sam is preceded in death by his brother Steve. He is survived by his loving wife Anna; son Travis Cormier; daughter Danielle Hubbard; grandsons Andrew and Logan; sisters Patricia and Diane; and brother Michael.
A visitation will be held on Monday November 18, 2024, from 6-8pm at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek. The burial will take place at Salisbury National Cemetery on Tuesday November 19, 2024, at 10am.
