Sam Sheffer was a great musician and choir director, Charleston was fortunate to have him here. It was a privilege to sing for him.

The world is a better place because of Samuel. We who are fortunate enough to know and love him were and will continue to be privileged to know and learn from him. While we suffer the greatest loss of his absence we forever have his presence in the voices of all angels we shall ever hear. Thank you for tour compassion, professionalism and unwavering leadership and friendship. Making you proud was my greatest accomplishment and I will strive to continue to do so. Up where they walk, up where the run, up where they play all day in the sun...thank you for letting me be a part of your world!

Sam was my singing teacher for almost 20 years. We shared a lot about music and also a lot about life. He was my friend. I believe I was his friend as well. I will miss him dearly.

Enjoy that Heavenly Choir of which I know you are apart. We have lost one of the great musical minds of this age. Thank you for loving all the world has to offer and sharing it with us. I will be ever greatful that you allowed me to assist you for the last 15 years and let me in to the wonderful world of Sam! Keep the skies filled with music so all can hear. Ej
