Samuel Linwood Wright, 78, of Princeton, TX, passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2025.
Sam was born on Wednesday, October 22, 1947, in Blackwell, Oklahoma to Malcolm and Alice Wright. He was a loving father, proud grandfather, and a loyal friend to many. Sam lived his life guided by an unwavering love for his family. He was successful in living a balanced life of fun while always providing for his family with hard work as a small business owner.
During his life, Sam found joy in playing golf, planning trips to Vegas and making memories with his daughters and grandchildren. He loved sports and always rooted for the Oklahoma Sooners, Houston Astros and Houston Texans. Sam was a proud college graduate and a US Army veteran. He was known for his generous heart and being present in the lives of those he loved.
Sam is survived by his daughters Jennifer McConahey and husband Frank, Tracy Wright-Malato and husband Joe, Liz Montalbano and husband Joe; his grandchildren Meagen Fink and husband Ryan, Jessica Cave and husband Ryan, Jason McConahey and wife Emily, Jay Montalbano, Cate Montalbano and Will Montalbano; Nephew Robert Wright and wife Pam; Nieces Peggy Lowery and Connie Keil as well as many great nieces and nephews; Sister-in-law LuAnne Wright; and friends of over 60 years; Roger Easterday and Don & Donna Bale. He was proceeded in death by his parents and brothers William Wright and David Wright.
A celebration of life for family and friends is planned for January 31, 2026. Sam Wright will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
