Samuel Wurzelbacher Obituary
On October 15, 2011, Joe was united in marriage to Katie E. Schanen in Toledo, Ohio, where they lived and raised their family. They were members of Redemption Church in Toledo.
Joe loved his country, was honored to serve and was very active in conservative politics. He loved the outdoors and lived a number of years in Alaska. He especially enjoyed shooting a good round of sporting clays. Living in Toledo, he was blessed with beautiful parks where he enjoyed hiking with his family. His children looked forward to hunting season so they could help their dad with bringing home and processing his game.
Survivors include his wife, Katie, his children; Joey (Tori), Samantha, Henry and Sara, grandchildren, Charlie and Lottie, his father Frank, his brother Rob (Danielle), in-laws Barb and Chris Schanen, sister-in-laws Steph (Jesse) Ohms and Becky (Erick) Bennett, his nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Joe was preceded in death by his mother Phyllis, and nephews Darren and Derrick.
Visitation will be Thursday, August 31st, from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Campbellsport Alliance Church, N1876 County Road V, Campbellsport, WI, 53010.
Funeral Services will follow at 7:00PM at the Alliance Church with Pastor Doug Birr officiating.
The family extends a special thank you to the many, many people who prayed and helped in so many ways during these past months of Joe's life.
Memorials are appreciated to their children's education fund.
A Celebration of Life for Joe will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Homecoming Park, 7807 Angola Road, Holland, OH 43528.
