An Ode to Samya Smalls
O, Samya Smalls, the name that rings so true,
A gentle soul now passed beyond the blue.
How can mere words contain the grief we feel,
Or capture all the warmth your life revealed?
You were a beacon, bright and standing tall,
A spirit generous, who answered every call.
Your laughter was a melody, a joyful, rising sound,
That echoes now in every sacred ground.
We cherish every memory, each moment held so fast,
The quiet wisdom, and the love designed to last.
The world is dimmer now without your grace,
A hollow left within this earthly space.
But though your form has vanished from our sight,
Your memories remains a steadfast, guiding light.
In acts of kindness shown, in friendships you did tend,
Your beautiful, bright spirit finds no end.
Rest now, dear Samya, free from pain and fear,
You live within the hearts of all who held you dear.
May peace embrace you on your final flight,
