Sandi Lynne Ferrell, 62, of Campbell, Tx. passed away at Hunt Regional Medical Center of Greenville on Saturday August 9, 2025, with her family by her side. She was born in Dallas, Tx., the daughter of Mike Boggs and Sharon Phipps Boggs on August 15, 1962. Sandi married Gary Don Ferrell in 1980, and they had two daughters, Jaci Ferrell Hamman of Van and Doni Ferrell of Tyler.
Sandi was an avid animal lover. She loved her dogs and had a special connection to her horses. She had been married to Larry Rushing for the past 15 years. They enjoyed their time in ministry and taking care of people and animals alike.
Sandi was a daughter, wife and mother but her true joy came from being a Nana. Her grandkids were the light of her life. Of course, Kait was her favorite.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Sharron Gay Hendrix and stepfather, Earl Hendrix of Commerce; her father, Mike Boggs of Edgewood; her grandmother, Bobbie Vickery of Dallas and Grandmother Zelma Correy of Edgewood. Sandi is survived by her loving husband, Larry Rushing of Campbell; her daughter Jaci Hamman and son-in-law, Joshua of Van; her daughter, Doni Ferrell of Tyler; her stepson, Ken Rushing and wife Teresa of Mansfield; her stepson, Randy Rushing and wife, Delia of Centerton, Arkansas; her grandchildren Kaidon, Hayes, Townes, Kait, Birdie, Ashlynn, Brynn, Kenley, Parker and Leighton. She is also survived by a brother, Charkes Boggs of Florida and aunts, Rickie Phipps and Joette Hanna of Rockwall.
A memorial service for Mrs. Ferrell will be held Saturday, August 16, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., in the Jones-Walker Funeral Home chapel located at 1209 Live Oak Street in Commerce.
