Sandra Jones "Sandy" Akers

Sandra "Sandy" Jones Akers, 63, of Dyersburg, died Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at West Tennessee Healthcare Dyersburg. Born November 25, 1959, she is the daughter of Annie "Tillie" B. Jones and the late James Willie Jones. She was employed in finance at Leaders Credit Union. Sandy was a member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church.
Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 16, 2022 at St. Mary's Episcopal Church officiated by Reverend Gary Meade.
The family will receive visitors in the Wheeler Room at St. Mary's beginning at 10:00 a.m until service time.
She is survived by her husband, David Akers; her daughter Katie Junior (Craig) of Dyersburg; Step-daughter Crystal M. Akers of Bowling Green, KY; step-son Benjamin L. Akers (Renee) of Paris; sister Debbie Ogden of Finley; brother Keith Jones (Cari) of Dyersburg; nine grandchildren, Kourage, Makenzie, Kaylin, Ivy Kate, Gideon, Brenya, Kieran, Alyssa, Savannah; and her very best friend, Tammy Tucker-Rice.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her great-granddaughter, Kinzleigh.
