Sandra Andrews-Johnstone Obituary
Sandra Joann "Joan" Andrews-Johnstone, 91, of Hampstead NC, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 30, 2025.
Joan was born on October 7, 1934, in Bonlee, NC. She was the daughter of Keller Rives and Dale (Brooks) Andrews. Joan received her MSW from Washington University in St. Louis, MO and was in private practice as a Marriage & Family Counselor.
She was proceeded in death by her parents and husband, Dr. Allen Johnstone, M.D. She is survived by her children Karon Hinshaw (Ronnie Lashaw) and Eric Hinshaw; grandchildren Maria, Morgan, Blake, and Matthew; and 7 great grandchildren.
The funeral will be Monday, January 5 at 2pm at Bonlee Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Lovett, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery, Bonlee. The family will receive following the graveside service at the Bonlee Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the local food bank in Joan's name.
