Sandra Bailey

MATOAKA – Sandra K. Bailey, 75, of Matoaka, died Saturday, May 13, 2023. Born March 29, 1948 in Bluefield, she was the daughter of the late Everett C. Davis and Margaret Huffman Davis.
Mrs. Bailey was a retired RN from St. Luke's Hospital in Bluefield after 26 years of service. In 1997 she was recognized in the "Who's Who of Nursing." She was a devout Christian and was a member of Beartown Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir. She enjoyed her flower garden and loved spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sister, Brenda Davis; and brother, Terry Davis.
Survivors include her husband of nearly 60 years, Dennis Bailey; sons, Dennis R. Bailey and wife Lindsey of Pipestem and Scott D. Bailey and wife Barbara of Beartown; brother, Michael Davis and wife Tina of Charleston; sister, Donna Coeburn and husband Mark of McComas; grandchildren, Rhonda Shrewsbury, Lexi Lester and Clayton Bailey; and great grandchildren, Tyler and Everly Shrewsbury and Brynnleigh "Bennie" Persiani.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton with Bishop Michael Davis officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell.
