Sweet memories keep a heart and soul alive among us. I still have sweet memories of Sandy when we were students at Fisk University. For some reason, I am thinking of an intramural basketball game Sandy participated in with Delta Sigma Theta Sorority and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, of which I am a member. It was a great game with fraternity members as cheerleaders. The Divine 9 and other students watched good heartedly. Sandy's smiling face and spirit still surface at the end of the low scoring victory for us. I will always remember her as a kind person and appreciate the opportunity to post this memory. Our God is a comforter and continues to give us peace as we remember Sandy and her family today.

I am so sad to hear of Sandra's passing. We met several years ago at where else, the beauty salon. We shared many conversations under the hair dryer as the last customers of the day. I will always remember her beautiful smile and sense of style.
Kiwi, so many of us have never met you but your mother was so incredibly proud of you. I know that you're a fellow Hampton Pirate.
Sandra's wonderful spirit will live on thru all of us who knew and loved her!

San was my first cousin. We grew up close friends and enjoyed a lot of time and activities together. I loved her very much and my heart is very heavy. I cherish the happy memories that we shared and they will live on in my heart always. She was a kind and loving person and a wonderful mother. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her. I had the pleasure of knowing Sandy as a classmate at Fisk who ended up living in Richmond, VA. We connected at a hair salon and that was the beginning of our becoming re-acquainted. I remember our many conversations about Fisk, our professional paths and the family she loved, especially Kiwi. She even attended my not-so-surprise 50th birthday party. I was truly saddened and shocked to learn of her passing. A young, vibrant, warm spirit she can peacefully rest in the arms of the Lord.

Sandra was one of the first people I met when I came to VDSS.I was thrilled to know she was not only my Soror but my Alpha Beta Soror having pledged at Fisk University. She was my friend, my sister and my Soror, I have missed her deeply. She was a joy to know. I will miss Sandy. We were classmates and line sisters at Fisk University. We spent alot of good times together. She visited me in Nassau Bahamas and I visited her when she lived in Texas many years ago. May her soul rest in peace.

I had the pleasure of Sandy's friendship for almost 40 years. She was a junior and I was a freshman at Fisk University and it was Sandy's friendliness,laughter, intellect and beauty which helped solidify my desire to join Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. I was even more thrilled when Sandy agreed to be one of my "Specials". We kept in touch after she graduated and times spent together were often years apart, but each conversation was as if we had only spoken yesterday. Spec, I love and miss you...but most of all, I thank you for being a wonderful part of my life.

I was Ms. Sandra's Hairstylist, I'm just finding out of her passing, my heart is heavy as I'm sure yours is as well, I know we all have a short time on this earth, but I Thank God for our paths crossing, and the talks we have shared, she will be truly missed in the salon and we will continue to keep her family in our prayers, especially her son, we never got the chance to meet, but she spoke very highly of you, she was very proud of you:)
