Sandra Beam Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Fisher Funeral Home - Denison on Feb. 20, 2026.
Sandra Beam, 68, of Denison, Texas, passed away peacefully at home on February 16, 2026.

Sandra was born on October 27, 1957, in Denison, Texas, to Johnnie and Betty Beam. She was a lifelong resident of Denison and a proud Texan through and through.

Sandra dedicated her life to hard work and service. She spent many years at Texas Instruments, where she built lasting friendships and earned the respect of many. She later continued her career in public service as a 911 Dispatcher and went on to serve for several years at the Grayson County Sheriff's Office. Sandra proudly backed the blue and was well respected by her colleagues for her reliability, professionalism, and steady presence.

After her time in dispatch, Sandra became the manager of Closets and Garages Storage in Denison, where she truly became the backbone of the operation. She deeply loved her job and her work family, always making sure everything was handled. She remained devoted to her work until the time of her passing.

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, Johnnie and Betty Beam, and her former husband, Stan Samuel.

She is survived by her siblings: Barbara "Maxine" Smith, Shirley Elliott, Johnnie "Dale" Beam, and Eddie Beam. Though Sandra had no children of her own, she was a beloved aunt to a host of nieces and nephews and is also survived by a host of great-nieces and great-nephews who lovingly called her "Mimi." She also leaves behind her cherished goddaughter, Ali Cox.

Sandra was known for her sassy yet sweet personality, her love of shopping, and her gift for good conversation. She had a creative spirit and especially enjoyed stained glass art and mosaic art. She was a loyal friend, always willing to help others and make sure those around her felt supported. She also had a special love for her fur babies, especially her faithful companion Jazz, who remained by her side for many years and was still with her when she passed.

Sandra Beam will be remembered for her hardworking spirit, her caring heart, and the love she poured into her family, friends, and everyone fortunate enough to know her.
