Mrs. Sandra Brawner

Sandra was born September 25, 1941 in Detroit, MI, the daughter of Glenn Louis and Blanche Elizabeth Chronister Matthews. Sandra married Thomas M. Brawner on June 26, 1959 in Pawnee. She was preceded in death by her parents. Sandra is survived by her husband, Thomas M. Brawner of Springfield; her son, Todd M. (partner,Peter Dickson) Brawner of Atlanta, GA; her daughter, Lori (husband, Mark) Hesterman of Evans, GA; two grandchildren, Brandon (wife, Jennifer) Hesterman and Justin Hesterman, both of Evans, GA; two great- grandchildren, Haley and Blake Hesterman; one brother G.L. (wife, Sharon) Matthews of Springfield; one niece and one nephew; and several cousins. Cremation was accorded by Lincoln Land Cremation Society prior to ceremonies. The family will host a Memorial Gathering from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 10, 2014 at Pawnee Assembly of God Church, 1001 8th St., Pawnee, followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Hospital Hospice Program, 800 East Carpenter St., Springfield, IL 62769.
