Sandra Kay Brough

Sandra Kay Brough, beloved wife, mother, Gigi, and faithful servant of the Gospel of Christ, entered into her heavenly reward on January 24, 2023, in Mooreland, Oklahoma, at the age of 79. Sandra was born to LeRoy and Minnie Potter on January 18, 1944, in Dodge City, Kansas. She graduated from Ford High School in 1962. Sandra attended Dodge City Community College and worked for Southwestern Bell telephone company.
Sandra married the love of her life, Terry Brough, on December 30, 1967, and they were happily married for 49 years. Sandra was a dedicated homemaker and mother. She selflessly served right beside Terry as he preached for the churches of Christ in Raton, New Mexico; Sturgis, South Dakota; and Gilbert, Arizona. Sandra also helped with World Bible School for about 10 years, teaching the Gospel through correspondence courses. Sandra was known for her incredible hospitality and having a servant's heart. She was a talented seamstress and quilter. She lived in 10 different states during her lifetime and always made each new place feel like "home." Her quiet, calm, loving spirit will be dearly missed.
Sandra is preceded in death by her husband, Terry Brough; her parents, LeRoy and Minnie Potter; and her sister, Sharlene.
Sandra is survived by her son Trevor Brough, his wife Angela, and their daughter Lacy from Miami, Oklahoma; her daughter Melissa Cansler, her husband Kevin, and their sons Carson, Kellen, and Corbin from Woodward, Oklahoma; her brother Larry Potter, his wife Marilee, and their daughters Amy and Lori from Cheyenne, Wyoming; and a host of other loving family and friends.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 27, 2023, at Billings Funeral Home in Woodward, Oklahoma.
Sandra will be laid to rest in the Prairie Grove Cemetery in Cottonwood Falls, Kansas, on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at 12:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Sunset International Bible Institute in Lubbock, Texas.
