EUNICE- It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of Sandra Jenkins Broussard announces her passing on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at Our Lady of Lourdes in Lafayette with loving family by her side at the age of 64.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice on Thursday, January 16th from 10:00 am, all night, until time of services on Friday. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, January 17, 2025, at St. Anthony Catholic Church with Deacon Gary Gaudin officiating. Deacon Gary Gaudin will pray a Rosary at 6:00pm on Thursday. Private entombment will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery in New Iberia at a later time.
Born in 1960 in Lake Charles, Louisiana, Sandra embodied the true spirit of a nurturing homemaker. Her devotion to her family was unmatched, and she found immense joy in the laughter and love shared with her cherished grandchildren. Sandra enjoyed cooking delicious meals that brought everyone together and was always the first to jump in to tidy up after gatherings.
Sandra was a loving mother, daughter, sister, grandmother and friend who will be missed by all who knew and loved her, especially her children, Ricky Romero, Jr. and wife, Jackie of Eunice, Jamie Romero of Duson, Brandon Romero and wife, Nichole of Lafayette, Lacie Romero of Duson; her mother, Carrie Courville LeJeune of Eunice; sister, Linda Jenkins Bourgeois of Eunice; ten grandchildren, Brittany Vai, Haley Romero, Shelly Romero, Lexi Collins, Tristen Romero, Kaden Romero, Kyson Romero, Rylie Romero, Ryder Romero, and Aubrey Romero; eight great-grandchildren; as well as extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond J. Broussard; stepfather, Gilton LeJeune; sister, Pamela LeJeune Deville; nephew, Toby Paul Jenkins; and niece, Alayiah LeJeune.
