Sandra A Caracter

Our beloved Sandra A (Bush) Caracter was born on August 28, 1940 in Atlanta, Georgia, to John Atkins and Carrie Corprew Atkins. She departed this life on September 18, 2024. Sandra attended public schools in both Piscataway and New Brunswick, NJ. She joined First Baptist Church of Lincoln Gardens at an early age. Later in life, she relocated to Georgia where she attended Bethlehem Baptist Church. Sandra loved to sing and was a member of the choir at both churches.

Sandra was a dedicated homemaker and childcare provider for many years. She was dedicated to helping members in her community and would assist anyone that needed a helping hand.

Sandra was preceded in death by her: parents, John Atkins and Carrie Corprew Atkins; husband, Ernest Caracter, and brothers, Daniel and John Atkins Jr.

Sandra leaves to mourn a beautiful family. She is survived by her: siblings, Margaret Ellis, Russell Kelly, Pat Bethea, Joann Bethea, Linda(IV) Ruffin, Kenny Bethea, Kevin Thomas, Stephanie (James) Ashley, and Mark Kennedy; children, Arlene Archer, Sharon Kimbrough, and Henry Bush Jr; grandchildren, Lakisa, Craig, Tiffany, Briana, Ashley, Nyisha, Tyler, and Dillon; eight great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
