Sandra Casto Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home on Jan. 16, 2026.
Sandra J. Casto of New Cumberland passed peacefully on January 15, 2026, at Allegheny General Hospital, surrounded by love and support.

Born on April 27, 1953, in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of James G. and Alice J. Pihiou Angelo. Sandra was a proud graduate of Canon-McMillan High School, Class of 1971.

With over thirty-six years of dedicated service to Hancock County, Sandra concluded her career as the county's Circuit Clerk, a role she embraced with passion and dedication. Her love for her work shone through in every task she undertook, leaving a lasting impact on those she served.

Family was the heart of Sandra's world. She found immense joy in her role as a mother and grandmother, and her grandchildren were always at the center of her life. She lovingly crafted crocheted items for them and shared her love of food by preparing delicious Greek meals.

In addition to her parents, Sandra was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Keith Casto, who sadly passed on December 31, 2019.

Sandra is survived by her beloved daughters, Alice (Jeff) Duffy and Demetria Manos, all of whom are from Weirton. Her son, John (Jenifer) Manos, of Mt Pleasant. OH. grandchildren, Joshua and Addison Duffy, Landen Manos, Mila, and Sutton Manos. A sister, Connie (Bill) Douglas of Weirton, two nephews, and three great-nephews.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, January 18, from 3 PM until 6 PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton. Additional Visitation will be held on Monday, January 19, from 10 am until the time of her Funeral Liturgy at 11 am at the All-Saints Greek Orthodox Church, Weirton.

Fr. Matthew Moore will preside.

She will be laid to rest at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Weirton.

Memorial contributions may be made to All Saints Greek Orthodox Church.

Sandra's family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at West Penn and especially Dr. Krivak, her physician of nine years, who treated her with compassion, dignity, and grace. To the doctors and nurses on the ninth floor at AGH, we don't know how you do it every day, but the care we saw your give to our mom is immeasurable. We can't thank you enough.
