Sandra Kay Childs, 50, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, September 22, 2021 in Chattanooga, TN. She was a member of Ooltewah Church of God and enjoyed being outdoors, going to the beach, and spending as much time as possible with her grandchildren, who were the light of her life.
She is survived by her parents, Thomas and Brenda Childs; brothers, Brian Childs (Jessica) and Wayne Childs; children, Casey Padgett (David); Joseph Long (Nikki); and Tristan Quarles; grandchildren, Oakley Padgett, Rowan Padgett, Lillianna Long; as well as several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life of her life will be held Monday, September 27, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Rev. Willard Griffin officiating. Interment will follow in Johnston Cemetery in Meigs County with Wayne Childs, Brian Childs, Joseph Long, Tristan Quarles, Steven Childs, and David Padgett serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony and the playing of bagpipes will conclude the service.
The family will receive friends from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 26 at the funeral home.
