Sandra J. (Alfiero) Cimalore, 82, beloved wife for 59 years of Charles A. Cimalore, of Elmridge Road, Pawcatuck, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at the Westerly Hospital on Thursday, October 24, 2024.

Born in Westerly, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Rose Alfiero.

Sandra was a graduate of Westerly High School and URI. She then went on to earn her Master's Degree from Eastern Connecticut State University. She was employed as a teacher for St. Pius X School for over 30 years until her retirement and had previously taught in the Westerly School System

for several years. Sandra loved to cook and bake. She enjoyed crocheting, needlepoint and sewing. Sandra's most beloved treasure was spending time with her family especially during the holidays. Everyone loved her Italian soup and Christmas cookies.

In addition to her husband Charles, she will be dearly missed by her two children, Tracy Whitten and husband Steven of Coventry, RI and Chuck Cimalore of Windham, NH; and two grandchildren, Hayden Whitten and Aliah Whitten, both of Coventry.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, October 30, from 5-7pm at Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am on Thursday, October 31, at St. Pius X Church, 44 Elm Street, Westerly. There is no procession to church from the funeral home.
