Sandra L. Covert

SENECA FALLS - Sandra L. (Felice) Covert, 75, lifelong resident of Seneca Falls and devoted wife of Donald Covert Jr., passed at her home on Friday, December 13, 2024. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, December 30, 2024 beginning at 1:30 p.m. at the SMS Lodge, 95 Ovid St., Seneca Falls. A private graveside service will be held at New York Veterans Cemetery – Finger Lakes at the convenience of the family.

Sandy was born in Seneca Falls, the daughter of the late Joseph and Janice (Ross) Felice. She was a member of the 1968 graduating class from Mynderse Academy. On March 24, 1973, surrounded by family and friends, at St. Patrick's Church in Seneca Falls, she was united in marriage with the love of her life, Donald Covert Jr. The couple celebrated over 51 years together.

Sandy was an avid sports fan. Not long after graduating high school, she joined the Seneca Falls woman's softball league and played in the area for years; she was an extremely talented bowler, achieving numerous 700 games over the years and maintaining a 209 average at Finger Lakes Bowl; she enjoyed playing bocce and not only competed in the 2007 World Series of Bocce in Rome, N.Y., but the team also took home the title that year; Sandy was also an avid N.Y. Mets and N.Y. Giants fan. In addition to her enthusiasm towards sports, Sandy also enjoyed collecting teddy bears, and loved to spend time with her family.

In addition to her husband, Donald, Sandy is survived by a nephew who was more like a son; Gary "Bummer" (Cathleen) Felice, siblings, Rosie (Frank) Burnell, Robert Felice, Anne Marie Eckert, Joseph (Debbie) Felice, Dawn Dyson, several nieces and nephews; great-nieces; Cassandra Felice and Meghan (Shane) Fiene, great-great-niece; Maeve Fiene, as well as extended family and many friends. Sandy was predeceased by her parents, brother; Gary Felice Sr., and Step-Father-in-Law; John "Jack" Walters.
