Sandra Thomas, 66, passed away on April 18, 2023 at home, surrounded by her family and loved ones after a courageous battle with cancer.
Sandy was born in Arlington, Virginia on April 17, 1957 to
William and Jewel Crockett. When she was 5, her family moved
to Juno Beach where she grew up loving the outdoors, fishing
on their dock and crabbing with her father. She attended
Jupiter High School creating many memories with her lifelong friends,
graduating in 1975.
Sandy cherished her family life, traveling with her 5 kids to The Bahamas, lobstering in the Keys, skiing in Breckinridge, boating and picnicking on the Jupiter beaches while searching for sea glass and shark's teeth. Everyone looked forward to her delicious family dinners and she never missed an opportunity to capture it with a picture. In recent years, she enjoyed working at Pottery Barn greeting everyone with her infectious smile and was delighted when an old friend would come through the door. Sandy defined unconditional love and never met a stranger. She was a wonderful mother, adored grandmother, dear aunt, loving sister and to countless others – a treasured friend- earning her the title of Miss Jupiter.
We are comforted in knowing that she is with our Lord, dancing on the beach with her beautiful son Tyler, sweet sister Nancy and her loving
parents. Sandy is survived by her son, Jerry (Crystal); daughters Dacia (Derek) Crawford; Brittany (Chris) Black and Hayley; her brothers
William and David and sister Babette. She was "Mimi" to Jerry, Jemma, Jade, Reid, Grant, Bryson, Kane, and Andi.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 4, 2023, at Jupiter First Church, 1875 Indian Creek Pkwy, Jupiter, FL.
