Celebrating the Life of Sandra Lois Whitman Crumpton, born September 25, 1947 in LaFayette, Alabama to Carl Whitman, Sr and Carolyn Mayberry Whitman.

Sandra Lois Whitman Crumpton, age 78 of Douglasville, Georgia, passed away on March 1, 2026 after a courageous battle with lung cancer and lymphoma.

She is preceded in death by her parents Carolyn Mayberry Whitman and Carl Whitman, Sr, both of Alabama.

She is survived by her loving husband: Troy Crumpton, Sr; her daughter: Tracy Crumpton Rider and her husband Scott of Frankfort Kentucky, Troy Crumpton, Jr and his wife Shelly Crider of Aiken, South Carolina; granddaughter: Tyler Marie Crumpton Gosford and her husband Austin of Aiken South Carolina, grandson: Troy Crumpton, III of Aiken, South Carolina; sister Stanley Carmichael and her husband Richard of Aiken, South Carolina; brothers: Carl Whitman, Jr and his wife Nancy of Anderson, South Carolina, Michael Whitman, Sr and his wife Wanda of Pell City, Alabama; nieces and nephews: Leslie Carmichael Williams and her husband WJ, Kerri Carmichael Scott, Page Whitman, Mike Whitman, Jr and his wife Jenn, Anna Whitman McClain and her husband Curtis, Courtney Whitman, Kyle Whitman and his wife Beth; several great nieces and nephews.

She retired from Douglas County. Sandra was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Douglasville, where she served on various committees. She was an avid Auburn Football and basketball fan- War Eagle! She loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. Sandra enjoyed reading, gaming on her computer, Bible studies, cooking, dancing, boating and spending time on the "back waters" of Alabama or any lake or beach.

The family will receive friends at First Presbyterian Church of Douglasville on Saturday, March 14, 2026 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. The memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Andrew Dickerson officiating.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Unicare Personal Home, 3662 Lower Creek Drive, Douglasville, GA 30135

The final resting place will be at Lebanon Christian Church in Roanoke, Alabama.
