Sandra Matheson Culberson

Belmont- Sandra Matheson Culberson, 62, passed away suddenly January 22, 2015 at CaroMont Medical Center. She was born in Gaston County, NC on June 18, 1952 to the late Hugh and Betty Hoffman Matheson. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Kim Matheson. Sandra was a diehard Duke fan: she loved racing, and was a big Jeff Gordon fan. She worked for Advance Auto Parts for over 28 years. Sandra was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was an all around caring person and was loved by all. She will be greatly missed. Survivors include her husband Al Culberson; her sons, Jerrime Britton and wife Katherine of Dallas; Eley Britton and wife Mizuho of England; stepsons Jon Culberson and wife Brandy of Dallas, Wes Culberson and wife Susanna of Dallas; grandchildren Courtney, Kelsey and Spencer Britton, Brooke, Carrigan, Addison, Canaan, Culberson, Jackson Payne, Blair and Zoe Culberson; and a brother Ronnie Matheson of Charlotte. Memorial Service will be Sunday, January 25th at 4:00 pm at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home with Reverend Fain Farmer officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 4:00 pm prior to the service.
