Sandra “Sandie” Kay Davis, 68, of Junction passed away on September 4, 2023 at her residence.
Sandie was born February 9, 1955 to Sherwood Howard and Bernice Estelle Hornsby in Eagle Pass. Sandie married Ricky Lee Davis, the love of her life, on August 9, 1974 in Junction. Sandie was a wonderful homemaker raising their three children, Misty (1975), Gregory(1977), and Zane(1980). Sandie was an amazing cook, she loved music and dancing; teaching her children and many nieces and nephews how to dance listening to records of all types on her HIFI on Saturday mornings. She always kept her children entertained teaching them to play jacks, and all kinds of dice and card games. The only thing Sandie loved more than her family was her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Sandie is preceded in death by her parents; and in-laws, Ab and Wanda Davis.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 49 years, Ricky Lee Davis; her sister, Sherry (Curtis) Hobbs of Del Rio; brother, Jimmy (Janice) Hornsby of Junction; brothers-in-law, Dwight (Barbara) Davis of Junction and Wayne (Vicky) Davis is Marble Falls; sister-in-law, Helen Wissner of Early; her children, Misty Kay Phillips (Scott), Gregory Lee Davis (Janet), Wanda Zane Anguiano (Edward); 14 grandchildren, Asa and Marti Plumley, Parker and Grayson Plumley, Ian Davis Plumley, Chistopher Schaffer, Walker Davis, Kenzi Kay Davis, Sandra Morgan Davis, Rikki Nicole Anguiano, Alissa and Keelin Stringo, Caitlyn Anguiano, and JP Anguiano; 3 great-grandchildren, Abner Plumley, Indy Plumley and Marshall Stringo; many nieces and nephews- holding special to her heart, Yvette and Stephen Beam, as well as Jody Kay Hobbs. Sandie loved her Fox Hollow family, Becky Conner, Calvin McKinney, Kendra Powers, Jerry and Alice Gauna, Jerry, Teri and Presley Free; and her favorite little helper, Crystal Melton.
Special thanks to Brother Daniel Henderson, Michelle with Legend Hospice, Elizabeth with Angels Here Health, Dr. Martinez and staff, Kimble EMS crew and Kimble Hospital staff especially Penny Stewart, Louzane Gardner and Bria Martinez.
A celebration of life will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, September 21, 2023 at 1 Faith Church in Junction with Daniel Henderson officiating.
