Con gran pesar anunciamos el fallecimiento de Sandra Lucila Velásquez de Andrade, cariñosamente conocida por muchos como "Doña Sandrita". Sandra nació el 24 de julio de 1965 en San Miguel, El Salvador, Centroamérica, y partió en paz de esta vida el viernes 27 de febrero de 2026 en Augusta, Georgia.

Sandra fue una dedicada ama de casa, esposa amorosa, madre, abuela, hermana y amiga. Le sobreviven su amado esposo de casi 47 años, José Andrade, y sus hijas: Jessica Andrade, Mayeli Andrade, Sandra Andrade y su hija Marelin Andrade, quien también fue como una hija para ella. Entre sus nietos se encuentran Jeffrey Ortiz, José Ortiz y Aiden Ortiz, así como su "nieto", su perrito Nieves. Sandra también deja a su hermano, Rafael Ascencio; a su yerno, Edwin Ortiz; y a otros hermanos que residen en los Estados Unidos de América.

Sandra fue precedida en la muerte por su madre, Lucinda Mata de Ascencio.

La vida de Doña Sandrita estuvo llena de amor, bondad y generosidad. Conocida por su excelente cocina, era famosa por sus "pupusas", tan queridas que con frecuencia las vendía a amigos y miembros de la iglesia. Sandra fue un alma noble y protectora que amó a su familia más que a nada en el mundo y siempre estuvo dispuesta a escuchar o a tender una mano amiga. Su hogar era un lugar de calidez, donde ningún invitado se iba con las manos vacías.

Se llevará a cabo un Servicio de Rosario en honor a la vida de Sandra el sábado 7 de marzo de 2026, a partir de las 4:00 p.m., en Hatcher Funeral Home, ubicado en 3464 Jefferson Davis Hwy, Graniteville, Carolina del Sur. La familia recibirá a los amigos hasta las 8:00 p.m. esa misma noche. Sandra será sepultada en su país natal, El Salvador, Centroamérica.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sandra Lucila Velasquez de Andrade, affectionately known to many as "Doña Sandrita." Sandra was born on July 24, 1965, in San Miguel, El Salvador, Central America, and peacefully departed this life on Friday, February 27, 2026, in Augusta, Georgia.

Sandra was a devoted homemaker, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She is survived by her beloved husband of nearly 47 years, Jose Andrade, and their children: Jessica Andrade, Mayeli Andrade, Sandra Andrade and her daughter Marelin Andrade, who was also like a daughter to her. Additional grandchildren include Jeffrey Ortiz, Jose Ortiz, and Aiden Ortiz, as well as her "grandchild," their dog Nieves. Sandra is also survived by her brother, Rafael Ascencio, son-in-law Edwin Ortiz; as well as her other siblings residing in America.

Sandra was preceded in death by her mother, Lucinda Mata de Ascencio.

Doña Sandrita's life was filled with love, kindness, and generosity. Her faith was important to her, and she was a member of Our Lady of the Peace Catholic Church in North Augusta, South Carolina. Known for her great cooking, she was famous for her "pupusas," which were so beloved that she often sold them to friends and church members. Sandra was a nurturing soul who loved her family more than anything and was always there to lend a listening ear or a helping hand. Her home was a place of warmth, where no guest ever left empty-handed.

A Rosary Service to honor Sandra's life will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026, beginning at 4 P.M. at Hatcher Funeral Home, located at 3464 Jefferson Davis Hwy, Graniteville, South Carolina. The family will greet friends until 8 P.M. on Saturday evening. Sandra will be buried in her home country of El Salvador, Central America.
