Sandra Leigh Eggen, age 73, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, passed away on November 6, 2024 at home. Born on January 8, 1951 in Evansville, MN, Sandie was the cherished daughter of Frank and Vivian Gullo. She grew up with a warm spirit; always lending a helping hand and a listening ear to those around her. After graduating from Frost High School and Alexandria Tech School, she went on to build a life filled with love, laughter and memories. In 1982, Sandie married the love of her life, Monte. Together, they created a family filled with joy, compassion and resilience. As a mother and grandmother she was dedicated to providing kindness, strength and unwavering support. Sandie had a passion for holidays, nature, animals, the MN Twins, travel, fashion and history. She enriched the lives of everyone who knew her. Her home was always a place of warmth, where friends and family would gather, laugh and enjoy her delicious cooking. She is survived by her husband Monte, her daughter Amy and her grandson Dylan. She also leaves behind her siblings Connie and Jeff along with an extended family and dear friends. Sandie’s life was a testament to the power of love, kindness and family. Her memory will live on in the hearts of everyone who had the honor of knowing her. A funeral service will held on Tuesday, November 12 at 2:30pm at Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service.
