Sandra D. Elix, Sandy, went to be with her Lord and Savior Friday, February 14, 2025. Sandy passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones, her own, "cloud of witnesses."
Born on September 10, 1961 to Sam and Willistine Elix, in Hobart, Oklahoma, Sandy was the youngest of six children. In her life, she loving went by a lot of names: Mama, Granny, Auntie, Nanie, Proud Gigi, and always Sandra D! She showed her love through her cooking and if there was a child around, they could always be found snuggled up near Sandy.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Joe, William, and Richard, her sisters Cheryl Hice, and Joyce Summers. She leaves behind her daughter Alea, sons Michael, Tyreece, and Sean, grandsons Andrew, Jalen, Jordyn, Justice, and Davion, great grandson Romeo, granddaughters Talea and LaNesha, brother-in-love Robert (Bobby) Summers, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
She also leaves behind a lifetime of cherished memories and moments to never be forgotten.
"Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us."
