Sandra Ferguson Obituary
Sandra Ferguson, 84, of Charlotte, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family on Monday, September 11, 2023.
Sandra was born August 28, 1939 in Kentucky to the late Henry L. Brandon and the late Estelle Brandon.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Friday, September 15, 2023 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland. The funeral service will be on Saturday at 11:00 am at United Love Baptist Church in Midland officiated by Rev. Marvin Tyson. Burial will follow at the United Love Baptist Church Cemetery at 11487 Flowes Store Road, Midland.
Sandra was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She married the love of her life, Lenard, in 1959 and had a wonderful life together for nearly 64 years. In 1980, Sandra achieved her bachelors degree in accounting from UNC Charlotte. After graduating from UNCC, Sandra started her own CPA practice which thrived for over 4 decades. During her many years as a practicing CPA, she also started Aunt Edyes Collectable, named after her godmother and aunt. Sandra enjoyed traveling, scrap booking, and painting, but most of all, she cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren and family. She was a charter member of United Love Baptist Church of Midland where she loved singing in the choir. Above all, Sandra was a Christian.
Survivors include husband, Lenard Neal Ferguson of Charlotte, NC, daughter, Cindy (Steve) Carter, daughter, Caren Gober, son, Rodney N. (Randi) Ferguson, son, Brandon L. (Clare) Ferguson, granddaughter, Sandra Christi (Rhett) Duckworth, granddaughter, Stacy (Bailey) Clark, granddaughter, Savannah M. Carter, grandson, Jared C. (Katrina) Gober, grandson, Jacob Gober, granddaughter, Bethany Gober, grandson, Reese Ferguson, granddaughter, Riley Ferguson; grandson, Brandon Christian Ferguson; granddaughter, Helena Ferguson, granddaughter, Ava Ferguson, great-grandson, Ryder S. Clark; great-granddaughter, Eleanora Gober; sister, Susan (Bill) Brock; and sister-in-law, Lois (Aldon) Baucom.
Memorials may be made to United Love Baptist Church, 11487 Flowes Store Road, Midland, NC 28107.
