Sandra Garrett Obituary
Sandra was born in Clifton Springs, N.Y. on June 27, 1942 the daughter of the late Ralph and Viola (Sexton) Garrett. She married her husband of 51 years, David D. Garrett, on March 10, 1962 in Newark, N.Y. He passed away on September 15, 2013.
Sandra worked at Five Star Bank in Dundee for 25 years. She and her husband owned and operated a farm on the Dundee/Himrod Road. She was a member of the Crystal Valley Mennonite Church. Sandra volunteered for many local blood drives and had a selfless devotion to others in the community.
She is survived by her children, David D. (Lisa) Garrett II and Kimberly (Timothy) DeFisher; grandchildren, David D. (Andrea) Garrett III, Kelsey (Nate) Webb, Kayleen Garrett (Phillip Bond), Andrea (Devin) Smith, Garrett (Lauren) DeFisher, Amanda (Kristopher) Luzadre, Skyelar (Brandon) Chin, Jayme Randall, Lauralea (Cory) Wakeman, and Robert Mead; 12 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; sister, Donna (Tom) Nesbitt; brother, Steven Garrett; and by several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Saturday, November 1, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Townsend-Wood & Zinger Funeral Home, 201 E. Elm St., Penn Yan, N.Y. Her funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. followed by burial in Grove Mount Cemetery in Himrod, N.Y. To leave the family a memory or a message of condolence, please visit www.townsendwoodzinger.com
