Sandra K. "Sandy" Gelino, 83, of Momence, IL, died on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at the Riverside Miller Healthcare in Kankakee, IL.
She was born on January 12, 1942, in Chicago Heights, IL, the daughter of Gilbert and Verna Seitz Feddersen. She married Greg J. Gelino on June 4, 1966, in Momence, IL. He preceded her in death on May 8, 2025.
Survivors: She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Butch and Suzy Feddersen of Grant Park, IL; her four sisters and brothers-in-law, Patsy Loitz of Grant Park, IL, Phyllis and Steve Fick of Grant Park, IL, Donna and Glenn Hoevet of Bourbonnais, IL, and Bonnie and Mike Blomarz of Frankfort, IL; three brothers-in-law, Paul (Janice) Gelino of Momence, IL, Arthur (Carole) Gelino of Lansing, MI, and Francis (Rosemary) Gelino of Ringoes, NJ; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
She worked as a bookkeeper for the Loitz Brothers in Grant Park, IL.
She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Grant Park, IL, and served on the memorial committee at the church. She loved to travel, especially to the Smoky Mountains. She enjoyed going with her late husband, Greg, to his annual Army reunions.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday, October 27, 2025, at the Cotter Funeral Home in Momence, IL. An additional visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at the Zion Lutheran Church in Grant Park, IL, with services at 11 a.m. Pastor Cory Estby will officiate. Interment will be at the Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Grant Park, IL.
Memorials may be made to the Zion Lutheran Church and/or Uplifted Care of Kankakee County.
