Sandra J. Gerow

Sandra J. Gerow, age 71, of Kaukauna, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, March 2, 2010 surrounded by her loving family. Sandy was born on November 20, 1938 in Appleton; daughter of the late Robert and Rita Muthig Wurdinger. On July 7, 1958 she married Curtis "Chubby" Gerow in Kaukauna; Curtis preceded her in death on February 19, 2009. Sandy worked at Kimberly-Clark until her marriage, she then owned and operated Gerow's Garden Center with her husband. She loved spending time with her family, she had a special love for her dogs, Brandy and Lexington and also had many hobbies including fishing, going to casinos with her friends and working on crossword puzzles. She is survived by two sons, David Gerow, Milwaukee and Bruce Danelle Gerow, Hayward; daughter, Diane Gerow, Neenah; seven grandchildren, Alan Misty Keller, Andy Keller and his friend, Priscilla, Sarah Nofsinger, Melissa Gunderson, Jonathan Gerow and his friend Melanie, Daniel Gerow and Dana Gerow and her fiancé Taurean; 14 great-grandchildren, brother, Robert Judy Wurdinger, Jr., brothers-in-law, Francis Joan Gerow and Keith Cathy Gerow and sisters-in-law, Dallas Maurice Lamers and Joyce Gerow. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A memorial service for Sandy will be held on Friday, March 5, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. at FARGO FUNERAL HOME, Kaukauna with the Rev. Tim Albrecht officiating. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Friday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the service. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of Affinity Hospice, especially Gina, Tammy, Susan and Jen and to the Brittnacher family, Kathy Barker and all her special neighbors for the wonderful kindness and care.
