Sandra Giardullo

Sandra Lynn "Sandy" Giardullo, 82, of Canfield, passed away Wednesday morning, January 7th surrounded by her family, at the Hospice House in Poland following an extended illness.
She was born March 7, 1943 in Youngstown, a daughter of Anthony and Margaret (Pierce) Spotts.
Sandy was a 1961 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School and worked as an educational aide for the Youngstown City Schools for more than twenty years, prior to retiring in 2000.
She married her high school sweetheart, Richard R. Giardullo, on January 17, 1964. Together they shared 41 years of marriage and many happy memories. He preceded her in death January 8, 2005.
Sandy was a member of the Youngstown Saxon Club and the World Wildlife Fund. She also volunteered her time for more than ten years with the Carl Nunziato Youngstown VA Clinic. She enjoyed traveling, especially to Europe and Las Vegas. She also enjoyed trips to the casino and was an avid Cleveland Guardians baseball fan.
She is survived by her son, David T. Giardullo, of Greensboro, NC. She also leaves behind a sister, Linda (Edward) Czopur, of Canfield; four grandchildren; Nicholas Giardullo, Jessica (Michael) Wynn, and Jennifer and Jordan Giardullo; her daughter-in-law, Christine Giardullo-Filip; and her loving companion, Steve Zatchok, of Youngstown.
Besides her husband, Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, and a son Richard Giardullo, II.
Memorial services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, February 13th, at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel, 5797 Mahoning Ave., Austintown.
Friends may call one hour prior to services from 10 - 11 AM Friday at the funeral home.
Sandy will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband in the Lake Park Cemetery in Youngstown.
