Sandra Kaye Gilding, a very caring and dedicated family woman, died June 19, 2025 at the age of 78. Sandra was born in Charlotte, Michigan on March 12, 1947, the daughter of Jackson and Venice (Parr) Martin and lived her entire life in Charlotte. In 1966 she married David Gilding and together they raised their four sons, Scott, Matt, Ryan, and Jesse with lots of love. Sandra loved life, enjoying activities like dancing, listening to music, and tending her flower gardens. She also loved to cook, bake, sew, and play euchre with friends and family. Sandra adored her children, enjoying time as a stay-at-home mom and even taking in other children to care for them as well.
Sandra will be missed immensely by her family, including her husband of 58 years, David; sons, Scott Gilding, Matt (Tracie) Gilding, Ryan (Katie) Gilding, and Jesse (Sara) Gilding; seven grandchildren, Lillian, Molly, Nolan, Abigail, Michael (Kayla), Jordan, and Emilie (John); great-grandson, Benjamin; brother, Jeff Martin; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Stephane Ann Rande; and daughter-in-law, Rebecca Gilding.
Friends are encouraged to support Sandra's family by attending services or sharing memories on her Tribute Page at www.prayfuneral.com. Visitation is Wednesday, June 25, 6-8:00 p.m. at Pray Funeral Home in Charlotte. Funeral services are Thursday, June 26, 12:00 noon at Pray Funeral Home in Charlotte with Pastor Robert Baribeau officiating. Interment will follow at Gresham Cemetery. If desired, the family suggests memorial contributions to Chester Gospel Church. The family is in the care of Pray Funeral Home, Charlotte.
