Susie always had a smile and a laugh that could brighten any room. She was friendly and welcoming to everyone she met, with a warmth that made people feel instantly at ease. Though we lost touch after she moved away from being my neighbor, my wife and I have missed her friendship and wonderful company ever since. She was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother, and her kindness and affection were always evident. She was never far from a story about one of her children or grandchildren, which she would share with a smile and a laugh. Her joy, laughter, and generous spirit will be fondly remembered by us and I think by all who knew her.
