Sandra F. Holstein

Sandra F. Holstein, age 89, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 28, 2025. She was born on March 3, 1936, to Paul and Dorothy Overpeck, in Terre Haute, Indiana.

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harry H. Holstein; her son, Michael R. Holstein; and her brother, Ronald Overpeck. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Tamara and Shawn Sweeney of Fortville, Indiana; her grandson and his wife, Michael and Ashley Sweeney of Scottsdale, Arizona; brother and sister-in-law, Chuck and Susie Overpeck of Terre Haute, Indiana, and sister-in-law, Loralie Overpeck of Manchester, Michigan.

Sandra loved gardening, golfing, reading, and spending a lot of time with her grandson. She worked at AHM Graves for a few years, and was the Employee of the Year in 1986. She then went on to REMAX Real Estate Group, where she worked for many years in the accounting department until her retirement. Sandra was a long-term member of The Optimist Club, and was the Governor of the Indiana Branch at one time. She was also a member of the East 91st Street Christian Church. She was very loved and will be missed by many.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, from 10am – 12pm at Flanner Buchanan – Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, 9700 Allisonville, Indianapolis, IN. A funeral service will follow at 12pm. Sandra will then be laid to rest at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family appreciates your monetary donations to help with funeral expenses.
