Mrs. Lily Sandra Jackson, age 78, of Riddleville passed away at her residence on Monday, February 23, 2026, following a long and courageous battle with COPD. A private family visitation will be held.
Mrs. Jackson was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County, the daughter of the late James Wilson Cook and the late Madoline Smith Cook. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Mr. Richard Wayne Jackson.
Sandra was a member of Riddleville Baptist Church and a woman deeply devoted to her family and community. Her first job was at Playhouse Nursery, where she helped care for and shape a generation of local children. She later served as Personnel Director at Washington County Medical Center, retiring after many years of dedicated service.
Above all, she was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She took great pride in her sons and found deep joy in her grandchildren. Her quiet strength, resilience, and steady love carried her family through both ordinary days and life’s hardest seasons.
Survivors are her two sons, Michael Wayne Jackson and his wife Angel of Macon, and Terry Richard Jackson and his wife Katie Levesque of Ottawa, Canada; four grandchildren, Cassi Jackson, Zayne Jackson, Henri Levesque and Jacques Levesque; along with extended family and friends who will cherish her memory.
A private family visitation will be held.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Lung Association or to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
