Leonard Main Obituary
Leonard J. Main of Hopkinton, MA passed away on Thursday, June 8, 2023, at his home, after a brief illness, with his family by his side. He was born in Brighton on May 12, 1938, to Leonard F. and Catherine G. (Sherman) Main. He graduated from Lowell High School in 1956. Besides his wife of 58 years, Pamela (Magee) Main, he leaves his son Robert J. Main of Hopkinton, Teri Main, and her partner Dan Matos of Hudson, two granddaughters Kathryn Main of Worcester, Rebecca Main of Framingham, his brother John W. Main, and sister Anne (Main) Desjardins, both of Lowell,and many cousins and close friends. His sister Mary Diane (Main) Hatch and her husband, Tom, predeceased him. He worked as a Civilian employee for the U.S. Army Natick Laboratories for 27 years and then 10 years for Mitre Corp. at Hanscom AFB, as a Logistician on government contracts, retiring in 1993.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 15 from 5-8 at the Chesmore Funeral Home, 57 Hayden Rowe St., Hopkinton, MA. Funeral will be Friday, June 16 at 11A.M. at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 61 Wood St., Hopkinton. Internment at the Evergreen Cemetery 306 Wood St., Woodville, MA.
