Sandra Sue Kirbo

Sandra Sue Kirbo, 80, of Rockwall, Texas, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2025. She was born on January 16, 1945, in Dallas, Texas, the beloved daughter of Ruby Lee Morris and Willie Upton Rogers, Jr.

Sandra lived a life marked by love, strength, and unwavering devotion to her family. Known for her fierce spirit, kind heart, and generous soul, she touched the lives of everyone who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cleveland Odell Kirbo; her son, Terry Lee Pyle; her brother, James Harold Rogers; and her son-in-law, Matthew Abercrombie.

She is survived by her stepmother, Frankie Rogers; her sister, Cozy Young; her daughter, Shelly Abercrombie; her son, Tim Pyle and wife Cheryl, son Randy Pyle and her cherished best friend, Jeanie White. She also leaves behind her grandchildren: George Crenshaw IV, Hunter Crenshaw, Dalton Abercrombie, Taylor Gilmore, Christina Pyle, Josh Pyle, Tabitha Pyle, and Terry Pyle Jr.; along with eleven great-grandchildren.

Sandra's love for her family was the center of her world. She was their anchor and cheerleader, always nurturing, always encouraging. A lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan, she loved nothing more than spending Sunday's cheering on her team, sipping her boxed wine, and enjoying a puff of her cigarette.

Professionally, Sandra dedicated over 40 years to the service industry, including 28 years at the Golden Ox Grill in Sunnyvale, Texas. Her warm smile and welcoming nature left a lasting impression on countless patrons and coworkers, many of whom became lifelong friends.

Sandra will be remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her kindness, loyalty, and deep sense of family will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.

A celebration of Sandra's life will be held on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Rest Haven Funeral Home, Rockwall, Texas 75087.
