Sandra Lubey Obituary
Mrs. Sandra Lee (Nelson) Lubey, 75, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 23, 2023 at her home in West Utica.
Sandra was born in Utica on January 21, 1948. The daughter of the late Charles and Jean (Van Epps) Nelson. She was raised, educated and was a lifelong resident of Utica. Sandra was a proud housewife and homemaker, and in her spare time she enjoyed playing games on her computer, watching the Golden Girls, was an avid Yankees fan, and loved her cats like her children.
Sandra is survived by her daughters Tammy Pickard, Maureen Lubey, sister Rachel Staelens, brother Claude Smith, friends that she considered family George & Cheryl David and their son George. Sandra also leaves behind granddaughters Shawna Lubey, Tiffany Doughty, Harley-Jo Quesnelle, Taylor Pickard and a special beloved grandson Hunter Foster, and great grandchildren Connor, Scott (Juju), Carson, Ezekiel, Jameson, Jordan, and Liam. She was predeceased by 2 children Ramona Lisa, Brian Earl, step daughter Tammy-Jo (Lubey) David, brother Charles Nelson, and also the love of her Life Earl Lubey.
In keeping with Sandra's wishes, there are no calling hours or services currently. The family will gather privately for a celebration of Mrs. Lubey's life at a later date.
