Sandra Mooneyham Mansfield, 79, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at the Hospice Home surrounded by her family. She was born on March 17, 1945 in Alamance County to the late Harold McKinley Mooneyham and Marcene Desola Kepley Mooneyham, and was the wife of 15 years to Thomas “Tommy” William Mansfield who survives.
Sandra retired after 40 plus years in floral design and her last florist that she worked was Court Square Florist in Graham. She enjoyed going to Starbucks, shopping, traveling and eating at nice restaurants, but most of all she loved spending time with her family.
Survivors other than her husband, Thomas “Tommy” Mansfield include her children, Sherri Tippett and husband Jeff, Alicia Perkins and husband Mike, Jason York and wife Margie; step children, Jason Mansfield and wife Teresa, and Russell Mansfield and wife Denise; grandchildren, Tiffany Denis-Hill and wife Jen, Nicholas York and Natalie York; step grandchildren, Jordan Mansfield and Jake Mansfield; a great granddaughter, Branham Grace Denis-Hill; her sisters, Debbie Vrsecky and husband Tony and Robin McClamma and husband David; a sister-in-law, Debbi Overman Mooneyham; and several nieces and nephews. Sandra was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Lamarr Mooneyham.
The funeral service to celebrate the life of Sandra will be held at 12 Noon on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Jimmy Vickrey with the burial to follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10:45 AM – 11:45 AM prior to the service.
