Sandra Schulze McQuary, age 77, passed away on 24 December 2024. She was born on 11 September 1947 to Elton and Arline Schulze in San Antonio, Texas. She was raised in Karnes City where she graduated from Karnes City High School. She married James McQuary on 29 December 1967. She was a proud "Army Wife" with a couple of relocations including New Jersey and Hawaii. James chose to come back home to Corpus after his first tour to pursue the oil industry where Sandy actually got him the job at Coastal Estates Refinery. James passed away in 2015 just shy of their 48-year anniversary. This year was their first anniversary in heaven celebrating 57 years.
Sandy was a driving force in the McQuary household. She loved gardening, owning her own plant business in the early 80s. She loved her flowers and her vegetable gardening. She absolutely adored animals, most recently Trinity, Faith, & Mr. Peabody. She also loved the water, whether it be sitting at a park on Ocean Drive or going fishing or to the beach. Another favorite was her love for decorating, specifically her home.
She is preceded in death by her husband James in 2015 and sister Gay King in 2021.
She is survived by a special niece Chanda and her husband Robert. Nephews Nicholas, Bryson and Caleb Parker.
She was very proud of being a loving Wife, and Aunt.
