Rest in peace lovely lady. You have played such an important role in our children's development. I remember all the haunted houses, block parties, & neighborhood parades you had in our little neighborhood. I still have some of Kyle & Staci's art projects made in you day care!
My condolences to your family.

The Pocket Fairy - A Granddaughter's Tale of Her Wonderful Nonnie
Deep in the folds of Nonnie´s coat,
Past buttons round, imagination floats.
There lies a place both snug and bright
A fairy´s home, just out of sight.
I´d imagine her wings were silky lace,
while she floats around that magic space,
With twinkling eyes and hands so small,
she waits to hear the grandkids call.
For every child who comes to stay,
She hides a gift to make their day
A strawberry candy, a shiny dime,
Memories to last a whole lifetime.
A marble smooth, a tiny toy,
A secret sure to spark some joy,
Each treasure tucked with love and care,
As if it always had been there.
And when a hand comes reaching in,
The Pocket Fairy starts to grin.
A giggle soft, eyes filled with light,
a bit of magic, pure delight.
So every hug, each sweet embrace,
holds more than love, it holds a place..
Where fairy wonders wait inside,
where Nonnie´s pocket spells surprise.
From,
Sophie; and filled with all of the love from my sisters too. Your brood of six McVicker/McLaughlin granddaughters, who love you so so much and are infused with your strength, will carry on your memory and legacy forever
