Sandra Dixon Paulk, 81, of Ocilla, Georgia, died Friday, January 16, 2026, at Dorminy Medical Center in Fitzgerald, Georgia.

Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Monday, January 19, 2026, at Ocilla Baptist Church in Ocilla, Georgia, with the Rev. Billy Stephens officiating. Owen Paulk, Chloe Paulk and Kellen Wynn will give eulogies. Interment will follow in Brushy Creek Cemetery, Irwin County. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services in the sanctuary on Monday.

Mrs. Paulk was born December 22, 1944, in Ben Hill County, Georgia, to the late Clyde Samuel & Lucile Daniels Dixon. She was a 1962 graduate of Fitzgerald High School where she was a cheerleader and a Sub Deb. She later attended South Georgia College where she studied secretarial science. She worked for Superintendent Phillips at the Irwin County Board of Education and later worked under Clerks of Court, Charles Young and Melba Paulk. Mrs. Paulk served as Irwin County Tax Commissioner for 23 years, always running unopposed, and retired in 2012. She had the heart of a servant and was always ministering to other people. She dearly loved her family and her friends and enjoyed socializing. She was an active member of Ocilla Baptist Church where she served on the Bereavement Committee and was an integral part of the Lady Bugs ministry.

She is survived by her daughter, Paige & Keith Wynn of Ocilla; son, Wesley & Angie Paulk of Ocilla; grandchildren: Kaylee & Zach Moore, Karsen & Tori Wynn, Owen & Jayden Paulk, Chloe Paulk, Kellen Wynn, Madison Young and Darbee Young; great-grandchildren: Wiley Wynn, Wrensie Wynn, and Ira Paulk; a brother, Jerry & Barbara Dixon of Fitzgerald; a sister-in-law, Belinda Dixon of Fitzgerald; along with several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ira Tillman Paulk, Jr.; a brother, Alan "Snake" Dixon; brother and sister-in-law: Dr. Sammie & Latrell Dixon; and a sister-in-law, Jacquie Dixon.

The family suggests those desiring to send memorials may send them to Ocilla Baptist Church, P.O. Box 101, Ocilla, GA 31774.
