Sandra was born on August 14, 1939 to the late Yvonne Higgenbotham and Arnold Enlow in Atlantic City, NJ. She graduated from Beaver College with a BA in History and became a school teacher. Sandra resided in Pleasantville NJ, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Voorhees and Cherry Hill before settling in Mount Laurel. She played the cello and was also a Sunday school teacher. Sandra was a true trailblazer and pioneer in her professional career. She was the first female Assistant General manager at SEPTA (hiring 10,000 employees with the Reading Railroad merger). Sandra was also Vice President of HR at St. Mary's Medical Center and Catholic East Hospitals.
Sandra is survived by her children, George S. Peopples, Jr. and Sheila E. Peopples; her sisters, Charlene Booker-Moore and Charmin Berish; loving friends, Flora Swaringer, Mabel Mumford, Ron DeCarlo, Denise Rosen, John Rush, Marion Campbell, Barb Hoffman and Debra Durand. Sandra is predeceased by her brother, Buzzy Enlow.
Relatives and friends are invited to Sandra's viewing on Thursday, December 4, 2025 from 10:00AM-11:00AM at the Mount Laurel Home for Funerals, 212 Ark Road, Mount Laurel, NJ 08054. Funeral service to begin at 11:00AM. Interment to follow at Park View Cemetery, Medford, NJ 08055.
