Sandra Piero

Sandra K. Piero,78, of Sheffield Lake, OH passed away on Friday, October 31, 2025 at 1:30 AM at Saint Therese at St. Mary of the Woods in Avon where her loved ones came to say their final goodbyes.
She was born on January 22, 1947 in Lorain, OH to her loving mother, Isabel A. Thomson. Sandra was a graduate of Elyria High School. On December 18, 1971 she married her loving husband, James Piero. A devoted wife to James and a loving mother to 3 children, Sandra was a homemaker par excellence. Her family was her world, and she took immense pride in taking care of her family and home. A woman of faith, Sandra was a devoted Catholic and member of St. Thomas the Apostle in Sheffield Lake. She enjoyed baking, cooking, picnics with her family, watching the Hallmark Channel, playing cards, and crossword puzzles. She loved watching her favorite football team The Cleveland Browns and she didn't hesitate to yell at the television like the team could hear her. Most of all she truly loved life with her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, James Piero; children, Gail (James) Shafer, Christine Piero, and Michael Piero; siblings, David B. Thomson Jr. and William R. (Sharon) Thomson; niece, Shannon Thomson; grandchildren, Allison (William) Parks, Nathan (Vanessa) Shafer, Alex Shafer, Eric (Alyssa) Shafer, Jared (Gabrielle) Shafer, Megan Shafer, and Landon Shafer; and great grandchildren, James Parks, Sarai Shafer, Sage Parks, and Madeline Shafer.
The family will receive friends at Reidy-Scanlan-Giovannazzo Funeral Home, 2150 Broadway, Lorain, OH on Friday, November 7, 2025 from 10:30 AM until the time of the Funeral Service at 12:30 PM, Fr.
