Sandra Marie "Sandy" Powell

Sandra Marie "Sandy" Powell, 72, died Thursday, December 4, 2025 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville. Born April 25, 1953, she was the daughter of the late David and Christine Hurst McGinnis. She was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church and a retired Ayrshire Electronics employee. Sandy enjoyed sewing, playing games and reading.
Survivors include: one brother: Jerry (Debbie) McGinnis; two sisters: Brenda (Bob) Silvers of Lancaster and Kathy (Allen) Lewis of Versailles and several nieces and nephews. Sandy is also survived by her friends: John and Teresa Brandon and her faithful companions: Penny and Raben.
She was preceded in death by her daughter: Amy Mobley; and her four brothers: Donnie Daugherty, Cecil Daugherty, Mike McGinnis and Randall McGinnis.
Graveside memorial services will be 2:00 p.m Thursday, December 11, 2025 at the Spring Hill Cemetery with Derek Baker officiating. Burial will follow.
There will be no visitation.
